These are the symptoms for bladder infections:
* The need to urinate more often than normal, although only small amounts of urine are passed each time
* A sudden need to urinate
* Pain, burning or other discomfort during urination
* The need to urinate at night
* Pain in the lower abdomen
* Blood in the urine
* Urine that is cloudy, has an unpleasant odor or smells unusually strong
I don't match any of these except that I need to pee very often, and when I do, it is not a large amount. Still, there is a feeling of great urgency and discomfort.
Other than that, I have nothing else to report. My urine is clear and normal. It has been going on for just a few days, and there was only minor discomfort the first day.
So what could this be? I have PKU, which is somewhat similar in nature to diabetes. Also, I'm considerring the possibility that I have diabetes but I don't think that is very likely for several reasons.
Any ideas?
I doubt it is my prostate because I'm 21. I doubt it is diabetes.
It could be many things and just because you are young it doesn't rule any of them out 100%. It could be a bladder or kidney infection, diabetes, kidney stones, prostate enlargement, or one of many other things. The most important part is to see an actual medical professional face to face even if it is embarassing because of your age. If you are sexually active this could be an even more embarassing problem for you, a STD. Good luck.
