How long would it take the bacteria from a bladder infection to multiply and cause a kidney infection?

I am wondering because I know that I have a bladder infection right now and I dont have insurance so I am going to have to go to the hospital for treatment. I have had this infection for about a month I think so how long would it take the bacteria from the bladder infection to travel to the kidneys? Please let me know. Thanks

Depending on the rate of growth of the bacteria, it can be from 2 days to 2 weeks.
