Sounds like interstitial cystitis, a chronic inflammation of the bladder wall that results in frequent urination. It can also make you have a constant urge to urinate that won't be relieved when you actually urinate. This is a condition that is in no way dangerous and can be effectively treated. I suggest you go to a doctor to discuss treatment options.

i've never had one before, and I'm wondering if I do now…
how do you tell a UTI from regular pregnancy symptoms?

my symptoms that may be pregnancy related or a UTI:
-i have to urinate frequently, but when i do there's not quite as much liquid as i thought there would be
-my lower abdomin is a little sore, i can't tell if it's my bladder or not, but i get the same type of feeling when i empty my bladder all the way
-cloudy urine (i'm on prenatals, too though; i've heard they can cause this)

it doesn't burn at all. i have no fever or backache or headache…

it's hard to get into my doctor, and i'm also a worry-wort
do you think i should get checked out or am i being paranoid?
thanks!!
der!!
i know the answerers are not likely to be doctors. i just figured someone who had had a UTI may be able to tell me if this might be one or if i'm being paranoid. or if they had one without some of the usual symptoms.

again, i'm in no pain, the "soreness" i feel is similar to when you urinate after you hold in your urine for a long time… in fact that's how it first started…
i will probably call my doctor later..
oh, and the amount of urine, i think it may be small because i've ben vomitting a lot the past few days, it's more normal amounts today… i think i'm slightly dehydrated & i'm working on it as we speak! er… type…
oh, btw, i'm in the 1st trimester
(9weeks 4 days)

It could be a UTI. The thing that's most cause for concern is the little amount of urine you are excreting.
If you have a hard time getting to the doctor, go to your local drugstore and buy cleartract extract pills. Take 2 pills 3x/day and drink TONS of water. If there are no changes (or symptoms get worse)in, say, 48 hours, you have to go to the doctor. If a UTI gets too severe, it can put you into preterm labor. I have had a few UTIs and have been able to get rid of them with cleartract extract pills (Totally safe for pregnancy, it's only cleartract powder in concentrate powder form) and drinking lots of water. I would continue to take 1 or 2 cleartract pills a day for the remainder of your pregnancy, it can help prevent new UTIs from showing up as well. I hope you feel better!
