I really don’t think a bladder infection would give you a positive result…but I had a bladder infection when I was newly pregnant…So it sounds like you are pregnant and you have a bladder infection. Be careful about what antibiotics they put you on, some of them are too harsh to be taken when pregnant. Good luck.

Yep. Bladder infection. Generally though you don’t have bleeding unless it’s affected the kidneys. Do you have pain in your lower back? (flank area) If so, I would head to the ER. Kidney infections can be deadly if left untreated. In fact, bladder infections hurt so bad I would still go to the ER for the antibiotics and pain pills that numb your urethra so you can pee free of pain. If you want to wait though, there’s not much you can do besides drinking as much water as possible to help flush out the infection, but that will cause you to pee all night which contributes to the pain. I know the grocery stores (most) carry over the counter meds to help the pain(Azo is the name), but it never worked for me. But it might be worth a try. Hang in there!

No i was diagnosed by the emergency room for a bladder infection.Macrobid is what they prescribed.Im not self medicating,and i do plan to take it till it is gone..but i've missed 3 days of work and i need to get back to work ASAP.This is why i asked.It's not hepitis or kidney falure..if so my back would be hurting and i'd have alot more problems to go with this.

I found a good cure at the health food store. Get Uva Ursi, it is a liquid, and you put so many drops under your tongue, and it really works!! It is a bit bitter, but its the first thing I reach for when I get a bladder infection. My daughter uses it as well. Hope it works for you, and take care.
